An oat milk chai good enough for my dad. I stopped making chai over the last year - both dad's absence and my new dietary restrictions zapped my enthusiasm. But today's success is both tasty and meaningful. Death is the fucking worst, but we can still drink chai!

Ingredients

* 3/4 cup water

* 1 1/4 cups oat milk (I used silk, plain unflavored)

* ~ 1-2 Tablespoons sweeter (I used coconut sugar)

* ~ 2 teaspoons loose leaf tea

* ~ 2 teaspoons fresh minced ginger (don't skip)

* ~1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

* ~1/8 teaspoon ground clove, cinnamon, & black pepper

Steps

* Boil water, tea, sweetener, ginger, and spices. Boil slowly for stronger tea.

* Add oat milk, bring back to a boil.

* Strain and drink.
